If you are a group of more than 14 the Chateau in St Martin d'Oydes is also available for holiday rental. The 12th century chateau formed part of the fortified village in medieval times; today the village retains its miniature fortress with a single unbroken circle of houses around the church which can only be reached by two covered entrances. Rieumes lends itself so well to family gatherings with its huge open plan ground floor and an attic space where children can sleep 'dormitory style' in a row of antique French beds. There is plenty to keep families of all ages entertained including table tennis, table football and a range of other ball and board games. The village of St Martin d'Oydes is within walking distance and has a tennis court and a small shop where you can order bread and croissants in time for breakfast.
